Good morning, Friends...
Wow! Life just got REAL these past couple of weeks! But Brian and I are so grateful for a God that is unchanging and just as constant as ever in scary times like this. We hope you are all well healthy and have access to the things your family needs to get by in the next few weeks. If there is anything at all you need, please reach out to us or anyone else in our community. This is one of purposes of community...to build relationship and be the hands and feet of Jesus not only to the world, but to each other as well. So please don't hesitate!
Have you all had a chance to check out Matt's update on social media about gatherings from here on out? He and Dakota are putting together video podcasts for our viewing on Sundays until further notice due to the ban on large gatherings. Those should be available on the Colossae App. Their heart and goal is for the church to continue to gather in small community group settings.
Brian and I plan to have community group tomorrow, but we will meet at 10AM instead of our usual 5PM. We'll have donuts and coffee ready to go, and we'll start the podcast around 10:30 AM to give everyone time to get here and get kiddos situated. We'll also have some crafty things and a movie to keep the kids occupied in the family room, so that the adults can *try* to listen in on the teaching. We'll see how that goes :)
If you are not comfortable with joining, please know, we support your decision and COMPLETELY understand. Please do what you feel is wisest for you family. No judgment, only love here! We will all be practicing standard precautions in our home, so we'll ask everyone to please take shoes off at the front door, go straight to the bathroom and wash hands WELL with soap and water and completely dry with paper towels. And again before eating. We'll also have hand sanitizer around for use whenever. Also, if you or anyone in your family has had a fever, cough, or sore throat in the last 72 hours, please stay home to help keep spread of infection down.
Man, I feel like a drill sergeant! But I think that's just the Mama Bear in me ;) We hope to see you all tomorrow, and if not, know we'll be thinking about you! If you can make it, please feel free to bring something light to share: OJ, fresh fruit, etc... RSVP is helpful!
