Good Friday Community Gathering 4/19

Hello community! This Friday we are gathering together in our seven communities to remember the life and death of Jesus as we prepare to celebrate His resurrection on Easter. We will be meeting Friday in lieu of our typical Sunday community group hangout.

I know with all of the kiddos we have in combo with our small space, it will be difficult to have a time of quiet reflection,  but we will do our best to make it work for everyone. If you can, please talk to your kids and prepare them for this time together. We definitely would encourage the kids to participate! However, I know some kids may not want to or are too young to participate; so the lovely Kelsey Kim has offered to gather up the kids and read the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection to them. We will also have mini coloring books as an activity to keep them busy.

The evening will start with prayer and then we’ll remember Jesus’ death via a visual art series titled “Stations of the Cross”. There will be a time of reflection and conversation around the artwork, followed by a short devotion and we’ll finish with communion. All in all, we will fellowship for about an hour or so, starting at 6:30 and ending between 7:30-7:45.

Really hoping to see you all Friday! Please let me know if you will be able to join and also if you have any questions at all about the gathering.

Thanks everyone!

CG Dinner 4/7

Hello everyone! Community group hangout this Sunday! I feel like it’s been so long since we met last, with our scatter week last month, so I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

For dinner I was thinking we could try a pie theme. Everyone could bring a different type of pie to share, whether it’s sweet or savory or whatever. I’m hoping we can get a good mix of both, so if you could reply to the email, so everyone can see who’s bringing sweet or savory, that would be great! Here are some ideas, but feel free to bring whatever you’d like:
- quiches
- chicken pot pie
- shepherds pie (Costco has good ones!)
- pizza pie
- dessert pie
- sides: salad, veggies, fruit, drinks, etc.

Brian and I will have a Costco chicken pot pie to share.

As always, friends and new families are welcome, so please invite!

1st and 3rd Sundays, 5-7pm

See you Sunday!
